Silver sponsor

Queensland State Archives is a proud sponsor of History Queensland’s 6th Biennial Family and Local History Fair.  As custodian of the State's largest and most significant collection of government records, Queensland State Archives is an invaluable resource for people researching their family tree, local history or other areas of special interest.

The theme for the 2008 Fair, One Hundred and Fifty Years On – Celebrating Queensland, is of special significance as local and family history associations, and Queensland State Archives join in celebrating Queensland’s sesquicentenary next year.

Queensland State Archives is open to the public Monday to Friday and on the second Saturday of each month.

Queensland State Archives also hosts public programs including seminars and information sessions about the archive collection. There are exhibitions on display at the Runcorn facility and on the website.  Visit www.archives.qld.gov.au for more information.
