14th May 2004 Information for Stallholders at the QALFHS Fair 2004 Enclosed is a copy of the list of stallholders with your stall site number and the building that your stall will be in. Your stall site will be set up with pinboards, a 2m long fold out table with a table cloth and 2 chairs. If you have asked to be linked to electricity please bring a length of electrical cord and a powerpack to connect your stall to the closest power point. Since space is at a premium, you are asked to stay within your designated stall site area. It is your decision how you arrange things within your stall site area. Please be mindful of public safety as you set up. On Saturday 29th May from 9.00am to 12 noon the hire equipment company will put up the stall site fittings. The stall site area will be available to stallholders from 12 noon until 3.00pm on Saturday afternoon. If you want to set up during this time, you may. At 3.00pm on Saturday, the Fair Buildings will be locked and secured for the night. The QALFHS AGM will then be held in the West wing of the Evans Deakin (L-shaped) Building from 3.30pm until 5.00pm. After the AGM the entire site will then be locked down for the night. On Sunday morning access to these buildings will be available after 7.00am and you are welcome to set up your stall ready for 9.00am on Sunday when the Fair gates open. The Fair will be open from 9.00am until 4.00pm on Sunday, 30th May, and we expect a very good crowd to come through the gates. Sample bags will be given out to the first 1000 people through the gates. Food is available on site; there will be entertainment throughout the day; the official Fair Opening will be held at 11.00am and a Fair compere will be available to announce and publicise activities. The organizing section of QALFHS will be found in the large marquee at the main entry gate area. If you have any questions QALFHS Committee Members will be available to help. Any emergency and First Aid situations need to be immediately directed to the QALFHS marquee. From 9.00am two sets of presentations, workshops and forums will be running throughout the day. Public entry to these sessions will be a gold coin to cover the cost of equipment hire. As the Fair closes at 4.00pm you will then remove all of your display materials and leave your site clean. Rubbish bins will be around the Fair grounds and it would be appreciated if you could help by leaving your stall site area clean and tidy as you found it. On behalf of the QALFHS Fair Committee may I take this opportunity to sincerely thank all of you for participating in this important event. We hope you have a fruitful day and enjoy your time at the Fair. Please feel free to let us know if you are interested in participating in our next Family & Local History Fair which will be held at the end of May 2006. Yours sincerely Beryl Roberts |
