Date claimer Saturday and Sunday 3 & 4 October 2015
This local and family history conference is being held on
3-4 October 2015
at Riverglenn, 70 Kate St, Indooroopilly, Brisbane.
It is being organised by History Queensland,
Society of Queensland,
History Society. These societies represent
family and local historians and their societies across Queensland.
The day and a half program includes 3 keynote speakers and 8 separate talks on each family and local history topics. The key note talks highlight connections between local and family history. Other talks will provide an opportunity to hear about a range of issues impacting on both individuals and societies - experiences, successes, changes, challenges in each field - local and family.
An additional time-slot provides an opportunity for special interest and informal groups to run their own mini sessions or meetings, for example, expert tables; special interest groups; society networking; one-name studies; one-place studies.
Riverglenn provides easy movement from one room to another for talks and catering and plenty of room for relaxed conversation and networking. All catering is managed by Riverglenn, so will be part of registration.
Stalls for organisations and societies are located in or near the catering area. As the number of stall spaces is limited societies which plan to book a stall need to keep an eye out for registration and booking information.
