Zoom Service

Is now available to member societies who wish to use Zoom to run meetings, hold events, or keep in touch with members.

With over 1700 followers on Facebook and some 120 member organisations throughout Queensland, History Queensland Facebook page is a great way to promote your upcoming event.

The family and local history and small museum and collection community in Australia is very active, but promoting those activities to the other HQ organisations and the wider interested community has never been easy.

There are over 120 member organisations throughout Queensland and History Queensland can post activities on the HQ Facebook page on behalf of the member groups who wish to reach a wider audience.

You could:

  • Attract potential new members to meetings and events
  • Let us know about new publications, websites, databases
  • Advertise family reunions and events in your area
  • Seek information for projects, about mystery photos
  • Attract interstate visitors – post-Covid

*You don’t have to subscribe to Facebook to read these posts, but if you wish to post, comment or have the advice of postings dropped into your mailbox – then you will need to subscribe and like the HQ Facebook page.

These conferences are usually organised by a member group with assistance from History Queensland.  Run by enthusiastic volunteers, these events have been well supported and enjoyed. History Queensland encourages members from all over Queensland to attend and financially supports at least two from regional Queensland. The History Queensland  AGM is held at the close of the Conference.
